Purpose

At Rscope, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific research through a rigorous peer review process. Our goal is to ensure that published research in science, health, and medicine is not only accurate and reliable but also contributes meaningfully to the field. The peer review process helps verify the validity and significance of submitted manuscripts and maintains the ethical standards and integrity of our publications.

Policy

We employ a double-blind peer review policy, which means that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential. This approach is designed to mitigate any potential bias and ensure that the feedback provided is based solely on the quality of the manuscript. By anonymizing both parties, we strive to create an impartial evaluation environment that focuses on the merit of the research rather than the reputation of the authors.

Process

Submission:

Authors submit their manuscripts through our online submission system. Each submission is initially screened by our Editorial team to assess its relevance to the journal’s scope, quality, and adherence to submission guidelines.

Initial Screening:

The Editorial team performs an initial assessment to ensure the manuscript meets basic standards of quality and relevance. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.

Peer Review

Selection of Reviewers:

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their qualifications and experience to provide a comprehensive evaluation.

Review Process:

Reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, methodology, significance, and validity of results. They provide detailed feedback and recommendations, which can include suggestions for improvement or highlight potential issues.

Review Timeline:

The average duration for the review process is between 2 to 3 weeks. This timeline may vary depending on the availability of reviewers and the complexity of the manuscript.

Editorial Decision

Decision Categories:

Based on the reviewers' feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:

Acceptance without Modifications:

The manuscript meets all required standards and is accepted for publication as is.

Provisional Acceptance with Minor Revisions:

The manuscript is accepted pending minor revisions as suggested by the reviewers.

Possible Acceptance with Major Revisions:

The manuscript has potential but requires substantial revisions before it can be reconsidered for acceptance.

Rejection:

The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or relevance criteria and is not accepted for publication.

Author Response:

Authors are given the opportunity to respond to the decision, address reviewers' comments, and submit revised manuscripts if required.

Final Steps

Revised Manuscripts:

If revisions are required, the revised manuscript is re-evaluated by the original reviewers or new reviewers as necessary. The final decision is communicated to the authors.

Publication Fees:

Once a manuscript is accepted, authors are requested to pay an article processing charge for open access publication, ensuring that their research is freely accessible to the global community.
